At Venus we offer waxing for both men and women using both warm wax and Lycon wax.
How long does the hair need to be?
Usually between 1 – 2 cm of hair, depending on the area. It is not recommended to shave between waxing appointments.
How long will the results last?
Waxing is an extremely effective hair removal method as it generally takes 4-5 weeks for the hair to grow back to a length that is easy to wax. But of course everyone is different.
Will the hair grow back thicker?
Usually, after regular waxing, hairs grow back thinner and finer. Once you start waxing, it’s best to continue to keep hair growth less noticeable.
Is there an age restriction on waxing?
anyone under the age of 16 will need a parent/guardian to sign forms confirming the permission of the treatment.
We also have threading available in the salon
How does Threading work?
A threading expert takes a thin cotton thread and twists it into a double strand, which then is swept along the skin. The unwanted hairs are secured in the thread and lifted from the follicle removing the hair with precision giving you the your desired look.
What areas of the body can be threaded?
- full face
How long does threading last?
Depending on your hair type and area of the face, full re-growth can be anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Hair will start to grow back finer after repeated threading as hair is pulled out at the root, which gets weakened through this process. You can get re-threaded as soon hair grows just above the skin, whereas with waxing the hair needs to be at least 2/8” long before it can be removed again.
