DMK Akaline Wash

At Venus Laser Hair and Beauty we are delighted to offer our clients the DMK Akaline Wash system. This remarkable treatment is designed to reduce fine, downy hair, also known as peach fuzz. This type of hair can be very difficult to remove with other methods such as electrolysis or laser as the hair growth is usually dense and pigment free.

An advantage of Alkaline Wash is that you can remove large areas of hair in one treatment with no discomfort.

How does it work?

The solution is applied to the skin for approximately 3-10 minutes (times will differ depending on the area being treated).

The treatment takes the hair to a high alkaline level, which dissolves the hair and weakens the hair root.

At first the hair will grow back at a normal rate, but as the treatments progress, the re-growth rate will become slower which usually results in permanent hair loss.

Thick, terminal hair can be removed with Alkaline Wash but it will grow back.

A. The number of treatments required depends on many things. For example, how long the hair has been there, if the hair has been treated previously, reasons for hair growth. Some clients report a reduction after just two treatments.

A. It takes approximately 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

Q. Why do I need a consultation and patch test before the treatment?

A. At Venus Laser Hair and Beauty we will examine the area that will be treated and discuss your medical history with you and any allergies you may have. This will enable us to determine whether the treatment is right for you. The patch test will ensure that DMK Alkaline Wash is suitable for you.

Q. Which are of my face can be treated?

A. Provided the hair type and skin is suitable following a patch test and consultation, any areas of your face and some parts of your body can be treated.

Q. I have both coarse and fine hair - can I still have the treatment?

A. Yes. We will treat the fine, downy hair with DMK Alkaline Wash and the coarse hair will be treated later with electrolysis or laser.
